Local Attractions

Moreton Village where Laurence of Arabia is buried is only 1 miles from Nutley Farm. Whilst visiting Moreton you could take a walk across the footbridge of the Moreton Ford (River) which is the widest Ford in Dorset. We are also close to Lulworth Cove and the Jurassic Coast and we have the lovely Monkey World close by too.

On Winfrith Heath, there are numerous species of wild birds to be seen and heard, including the reclusive nightjar. At the right times of day, you will see numerous rabbits and you may also see wild deer; in Spring and Summer, look out for adders and lizards basking in sheltered spots on sunny days. You may also come across some Highland cattle which freely graze on the heath and dog walkers are advised to put their dogs on a leash while passing. Closer to home, you will see many small birds visiting the bird feeders around the grounds of Nutley Farm and the barns, but in particular, watch out for the spotted woodpeckers, which are also regular feeders.
